Responsibilities:
- Responsible for verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments, preparing items for shipment, and maintaining inventory control.
- Must have the ability to use computers and related technology efficiently.
- Verify and inspect incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy, completeness, and overall condition of shipments.
- Verify accuracy of shipments by counting, weighing, or measuring items and comparing size, weight, description, and part number with information on packing slip and purchase orders.
- Inspect and record any shipments for discrepancies, damage or defects and notify supervisor if necessary.
- Photograph and record all incoming and outgoing shipments and save photos on drives.
- Move inventory to various locations manually and by operating mechanical equipment, including fork lift, pallet jack, and handcart.
- Package outgoing shipments and part mark material if required.
- Take physical inventory count periodically.
- Drive company vehicle to various locations to deliver materials. Obtain authorized signatures for deliveries if required.
- Inspect material handling equipment for defects and notify immediate supervisor if found.
- Complete training requirements prior to using Forklift.
- Follow safety procedures in warehouse at all times.
- Maintains company vehicles, refueling, cleaning, oil changes, and inspections.
- Responsible for ensuring scrap metal material are disposed of in the appropriate bins for recycling.
- Responsible for following shipping and receiving procedures.
- Ensure warehouse is well maintained and kept organized.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of your knowledge.
